Il sogno di Mario Buccellati è quello di fare l’orafo. A 12 anni lavora come apprendista a Milano ma la chiamata alle armi interrompe questo suo desiderio. Reduce dalla guerra, comprò il negozio fallito in cui lavorava e da lì inizia la sua scalata al successo. Le sue prime creazioni furono anelli, collane e diademi e la loro eleganza colpirono addirittura la casa reale spagnola, tanto che acquistarono molti gioielli Buccellati. La sua fama iniziò ad espandersi per lo stile utilizzato, i suoi prodotti prendevano ispirazione dall’architettura gotica e rinascimentale con l’uso dell’oro e del pizzo e ogni gioiello Buccellati mostra la bravura dell’artigiano che con un utensile va a lavorare il metallo in modo da renderlo liscio come la seta. Questa operazione trasforma il gioiello in un’opera d’arte facendolo diventare unico ed esclusivo, esaltando l’abilità e la creatività. Tutto ciò ha portato i gioielli Buccellati ad essere il top.

The Ramage design, of Renaissance origin, is one of Buccellati’s most successful themes since the 1920s. The goldsmith still hand pierces a one-millimeter sheet of gold by hand and extrapolates from the material the silhouettes of branches and leaves on which small diamonds bloom
ROMBI
In the Rombi collection the Renaissance-inspired design is obtained through a meticulous fretwork made with hand tools. White gold and yellow gold enhance the preciousness of this work.
