The history of the brand
The most famous brand of pens is Montblanc. It was founded in 1900 following the intuition of an engineer from Hamburg and a Berlin banker who created a company for the purpose of being manufacturers of high quality gold fountain pens. The name of the company seems to derive from a game of cards: one of the relatives of the founders compared the pen Montblanc, being the highest level of writing instruments, at Mont Blanc, the highest peak in the Alps. From that moment the company used the name Montblanc with the logo reminiscent of the mountain. The symbolism behind it is to want to reach the highest peaks of European craftsmanship with pens Montblanc. The two wars temporarily interrupt production, even in the second the factory was destroyed but the fame acquired and the speed of keeping up with the times were fundamental to relaunch the company in Europe
