Buccellati Silver Daffodil

Buccellati’s Large Narcissus Bowl is the most striking and imposing piece in the series dedicated to the narcissus within the Milanese maison’s Nature collection. With a diameter of 18 cm, this 925 sterling silver bowl brings all the delicate and refined beauty of the daffodil — a flower long associated with grace, lightness and formal perfection — to the table or a prominent shelf, in a large format that leaves no doubt as to its presence and value.

The daffodil’s petals, slender and slightly curved outwards, are shaped one by one using the hand-embossing technique by Buccellati’s silversmiths: each petal has a slightly different curvature from the others, replicating the natural asymmetry of the living flower. At the centre, the tubular crown — the characteristic feature that distinguishes the daffodil from all other flowers — is rendered with precise, detailed relief, almost as if the flower were still gazing downwards, towards the reflection in the water that immortalis
